The weather in Vietnam in March will delight all connoisseurs of quality beach holidays, active tourism and water-related entertainment. While some tourists will disappear on the beaches, covering their snow-white skin with a bronze tan, others can go on exciting excursions, sightseeing or just strolling around the city.

Dry and hot weather sets in practically throughout the country in March. The exception is all the same mountainous regions located to the north of Hanoi. Although here the climate can be confidently called attractive and warm. Rest on the beaches, which are located a little south of Chamshon, will be wonderful.

Weather in northern regions

The local climate will be characterized by an almost complete absence of rain, high air and water temperatures, and towards the end of the month the weather will become really summer. It is the end of March and April that is the peak of the tourist season in the northern parts of Vietnam. The average air temperature at night here is 19 degrees Celsius, and during the day the air warms up 5-7 degrees higher.

It is not worth going to Halong for the swimming season. Although the air temperature looks favorable, tourists will not be able to fully enjoy their stay on the local beaches. But it is quite possible to take walks on the sea on a boat or yacht, visit the nearby islands and, perhaps, plunge into cool water.

Weather in central regions

In this part of Vietnam, clear and warm weather is observed in March, which is almost never darkened by rain. The sun practically does not disappear behind the clouds and allows you to boldly walk along the street in shorts and a T-shirt. It will be slightly cooler in the mountainous part of the country, where the average temperature is 19-23 degrees Celsius.

Given the favorable March climate, many Russian tourists gladly used the services of charter flights, which are periodically renewed.

Weather in the southern regions of Vietnam

In March, the southern regions of the Asian country are completely conquered by dry cyclones. The air temperature reaches its annual peak, which contributes to a full-fledged beach company. Tourists can independently make up an excursion program, which includes visits to remote islands, and a visit to the main attractions, and an unforgettable diving along the fabulous shores. The only exception to the rule is the weather in Dalat, which is notable for its "capriciousness". Average temperatures are lower here than in the rest of southern Vietnam.

You can relax comfortably in Nha Trang and Mui Ne. This is favored by a warm climate, an excellent combination of high air temperature and sea water. It practically does not rain in March, which is another important advantage of the local holiday. There are excellent conditions for kiting in the water area.

On the other hand, towards the end of the month, the approaching wet season is felt, which manifests itself in full measure already from mid-April. Accordingly, the humidity of the air is gradually increasing, and the number of hours of sunshine is inexorably decreasing.

As you can see, when going on vacation on the coast of Vietnam, you should be guided not only by your preferences, but also pay attention to the weather in this or that part of the country. March days are more suitable for recreation in the southern and central regions, while in northern cities the dry season will only approach. Given these nuances, you will certainly appreciate all the benefits of a vacation in this amazing country.
