Vietnam's July weather is both the hottest and wettest of the year. The northern and southern parts of the country experience heavy rainfall, while the central provinces continue to delight visitors with a dry climate and high temperatures.
There are many ways to relax in this Asian country in the middle of summer. Someone more will like the numerous excursion programs, and someone will even be able to enjoy a quality beach vacation for several days. It is also interesting that almost the same air temperature is established practically throughout the country.
Weather in the northern regions of the country
July in this part of Vietnam can be safely called the second most precipitated month of the year. In a few days, up to 350 mm of precipitation can fall here, which are accompanied by the highest temperatures. Only August, which is considered the rainiest month of the year, can break its records.
If we consider this month from the point of view of tourism, it becomes obvious that July is practically unsuitable for a good rest. The northern regions are famous for their inhospitable climate, which practically excludes the possibility of excursions and trips to attractions. Only a few days a month are characterized by dry and cloudless weather, which allows tourists to spend their free time as they please.
There is also a record holder among the local resorts. In particular, tons of rainwater falls on Hanoi, and the average rainfall reaches 300-440 mm. At the same time, high air temperature indicators (up to 29 degrees above zero) persist throughout the month. Halong guests and residents escape from the stuffy seaside. Numerous breezes create comfortable conditions for being here, which can bring down the heat at least a little. But in general, a vacation in the northern part of Vietnam in the middle of summer will not give any vivid emotions or new impressions to those few tourists who still decide to go on vacation to this amazing country.
Central regions
But in the central part of Vietnam, tourists can continue to enjoy the dry season. Precipitation falls here much less often, and the temperature of air and water often reaches 30 degrees Celsius. Therefore, numerous tourists are actively storming the sea coast in order to have time to get a tan before the heavy rains cover the region.
The most suitable place for a vacation is Buda Hoi An, which is famous for its calm atmosphere and measured life of the indigenous people. Numerous resort hotels are located right on the seashore, which will add a few more points to the "Comfort" column.
Weather in the southern part of the country
The July climate in the southern provinces of Vietnam is in many ways similar to that of the northern part of the country. More abundant rains alternate with short hours of sunshine, which entails a stifling heaviness of the air. Most of the rain falls in the afternoon, in the late afternoon. But before lunch, guests of the region can enjoy the gentle rays of the sun and the cloudless sky.
The most comfortable resort for a vacation in July will be Nha Trang, which is located closest to the central part of Vietnam. It has the least amount of precipitation and a more comfortable ambient temperature. But on Phu Quoc Island these days there is a peak of the wet season. In a few days, up to 500 mm of precipitation can fall, which are accompanied by high air and water temperatures.
