Recently, more and more of our compatriots have come to look at the cities that have retained their medieval appearance to our time. Belgium lures its fans with unusually tasty beer and chocolate, as well as the opportunity to purchase high-quality diamonds. Today we will talk about how to get to Belgium from Russia, which type of transport is more popular in this direction.

Air travel

Given the considerable distance between Russia and Belgium, the first and most efficient way to reach your destination is by air. You will have to fly to Brussels, within which the international terminal is located. Both domestic carriers and companies from Europe are ready to offer their services to tourists.

In particular, the most interesting offer is the Aeroflot company, whose planes make several flights every day from the Sheremetyevo terminals. In addition to the loyal flight price (only 9400 rubles), there is one more good news for passengers. The flight is designed for a direct flight and does not provide for intermediate landings. You can get to Brussels by plane in just 3.5 hours.

The flight will cost more, and customers will have to spend 2-3 times longer on the way, which will buy tickets for aircraft of Turkish Airlines, Ryanair, Wizz and many others. The aircraft of these companies fly through Istanbul, Riga, Budapest. You will have to spend several hours waiting for the transfer.

You can also get to Brussels through neighboring countries. So, daily direct flights depart from Kiev, Athens and Italian airports.

Bus

A good alternative to airplanes is to travel on a comfortable bus. In addition to the many routes that run through the neighboring countries of Europe, where you can make a transfer, there is one direct flight. Every week on Tuesday and Friday, a bus leaves from the Moscow Air Terminal at 7 o'clock in the morning. Its route runs through several cities of Belarus and Germany, including Minsk, Berlin, Cologne and others. Thus, you can see several radically different countries at once.

Check the fare with the carrier. Although, according to the latest information, a one-way ticket cost 145 euros, and if you pay for a round trip, you can save 40 euros on the way back! For children and pensioners, as well as students, there is a system of discounts ranging from 10 to 50%. On average, it takes up to 50 hours to travel.

We also advise you to consider the possibility of traveling by bus through Poland or Belarus.

Through Berlin

If it is possible to travel through Berlin, we advise you to consider the following options. Firstly, you can cover the distance between the German capital and Brussels by plane. Every day, aircraft of European and German companies fly from the international airport, among which you can find budget ones, the flight of which will cost only 60-100 euros. But for a ticket on the plane of the most titled German carrier - Lufthansa - you will have to pay several times more.

An alternative mode of transport is the bus. Regular communication has been established between the capitals of these European states. The fare is affordable for almost everyone and averages 63 euros. Many carriers also offer discounts for young tourists and retirees.

Well, how not to mention the railway connection? After all, Germany is famous for its high-speed and comfortable trains, which in just a few hours are able to bring passengers to any point in Western Europe. Unfortunately, there is no direct connection to Brussels, so be prepared for the fact that you will have to change the express train in Cologne or Amsterdam. The journey will cost an average of 83-300 euros, depending on the class of the carriage. The road to Brussels will take from 6.5 to 17.5 hours, depending on the route.

Similar routes can be calculated from France, Italy and the Netherlands.

We have covered some of the most popular ways to get to Belgium. But there are also other, no less interesting routes that we all are just discovering for ourselves.
