As it became known, the Madrid court rejected the claim, which was brought by the Spanish bus confederation against the company Blablacar. The main requirement of the confederation was the restriction of activities, up to a complete ban, on the work of the agency, which provides private taxi services for tourists.
Recall that the Blablacar company caused dissatisfaction from the side of bus carriers with its activities, which actually reduced the popularity of bus services several times. The company offers tourists transportation services on very favorable terms. The main advantages of the company are:
- - faster travel;
- - comfortable cars or minibuses that are designed for a certain number of passengers;
- - the possibility of delivery to a specific object (museum, hotel, airport, etc.), while the buses do not deviate from the planned routes.
And the cost of such services is several times lower than travel by bus. After all, all customers pay for the fare "jointly", dividing the cost of fuel among themselves and making only a small payment for transportation services. While bus passengers are forced to pay for the services of the company administration, service personnel, etc.
All this has made Blablacar an almost unbeatable player in the Spanish transportation segment. When all available levers of influence on new competitors were exhausted, the confederation of bus carriers decided to go to court and lost. But some time ago, the court, with the filing of the confederation, banned the activities of a similar company - Uber - which specialized in passenger transport.
