Tourists who are partial to the night sky and romance should definitely visit the Atlantic Islands National Park, which belongs to Spain. It is a group of Galicia islands located at a short distance. It is these land areas that are recognized as the best platforms for observing the night sky and the millions of stars that adorn it.

This year, on its basis, events will be held that will help consolidate this status. For example, the festive program includes theatrical performances, walks on the night sea, as well as exhibitions of the best photographs of the world's leading photographers. All this will be accompanied by an orchestra of night sounds.

The organizers of the event are convinced that such an integration of the guests of the island into this unique environment will allow them not only to enjoy the beauty of the starry sky and sea glare, but also to learn a lot about the life of the representatives of the animal world who have inhabited the local islands for thousands of years. This is a kind of program to protect the natural environment.

One of the most interesting moments will be teaching participants the ancient constellation orienteering techniques used by seafarers many years ago. It was the heavenly bodies, each of which occupies its usual place in the sky, that played the role of an ancient compass.

Tourists will be offered to spend the night outdoors on the beach or on the deck of a boat in the open sea, and all photography fans will have access to walking routes, where they can take part in master classes by recognized geniuses of this art movement.

Well, amateur astronomers on the islands are expected in August, when the best conditions will be created for them to observe heavenly life. They, as in the previous year, should be joined by specialists from several leading universities of Vigo and Santiago. While adults will take part in exciting activities, experienced teachers and researchers will teach young guests of the island to the most intriguing secrets about the origin of heavenly bodies.

More than 400,000 tourists from all over the world are expected to come to the amazing islands in 2016.
